The idea

Leif writes, arranges and hosts the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival’s school tours. In the Spring 2026 program, the musicians “attempt to have a conversation without any words”, turning instruments into characters and asking the students what they heard.

Who it’s for

Students at the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival’s school concerts, and their teachers, who get classroom materials and training before each show.

What happened

40,000 students and 60+ concerts. Leif plays trumpet, piccolo trumpet and flugelhorn in the show, and prepares classroom materials and teacher training beforehand.
